European Film Academy Award winners at BNFF

Yesterday in Berlin the European Film Academy Award winners were announced. Some of these films are aslo included into BNFF main programme.

Altogether five awards (best European film, best director, best actor - Daniel Auteuil, best editing and FIPRECSI award) took home HIDDEN (CACHÉ) by Michael Haneke. The film has also gained the interest from BNFF audience, as the upcoming screening is sold out. For anyone hoping to see the film it can be mentioned that HIDDEN will appear on the regular cinema screens in Estonia soon.  

Best script award went to Hany Abu-Assad and Bero Beyer for their story about suicide terrorists in PARADISE NOW. One of the leading actors of this film - Kais Nashef - is the guest of the BNFF. 

Priz Fassbinder was given to Danish Jakob Thuesen with his family drama ACCUSED
